CAH Student Success Center

Welcome to the Student Success Center for the College of Arts and Humanities! We look forward to helping you navigate your academic and personal goals during your time here at DH.

Vision:

The College of Arts and Humanities Student Success Center is a welcoming space that is accessible, responsive, inclusive, and empowers all students to overcome barriers as we provide them with toolkits to pursue their passions.

Mission:

The Student Success Center is the vital contact point for all new and continuing students pursuing their major in the College of Arts and Humanities. The CAH SSC will create an environment where students receive academic planning, holistic support, and connections to resources. We will encourage students to think critically, develop awareness, and use their voices to advocate for their needs. We will facilitate a community where students collaborate, create, innovate, network, and flourish.

Core Values:

Respect: Everyone deserves to be treated respectfully and with compassion as demonstrated through our words, body language, and actionable behaviors.

Communication: We are committed to the timely, accurate, honest, and transparent exchange of information by encouraging respectful interactions through positive intent and understanding.

Intellectual Curiosity: We encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and seek out information through our use of appreciative advising.

Inclusivity: We provide equitable access to opportunities and resources by ensuring our students’ needs are met.

Authenticity: We connect from the heart with integrity as demonstrated by listening actively with respect and authenticity.

Community: We are a community of learners and leaders collaborating with our students to assist them in reaching their goals.
