Associated Students, Inc. (ASI)

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is the official student voice of California State University, Dominguez Hills. ASI is a nonprofit, student-run corporation that monitors approximately $1.8 million of student activity fees. As your student government, ASI is dedicated to improving your college experience by advocating on your behalf. ASI provides many services that are available for all CSUDH students, such as the Child Development Center, KDHR radio, scholarships, and more. In addition to the various services available, free events and programs are also offered such as concerts, seasonal programming, free hygiene products and scantrons in our office, mixers, educational panels and more. You can also get involved in ASI by joining us as a Board of Director, student at large intern, student assistant and more. Cheer/Dance

The CSUDH cheer and dance teams provide students with opportunities to develop athletic, academic, and interpersonal skills while complementing the Intercollegiate Athletic Department at Intercollegiate events and competitions with other universities and amateur programs. The Toros Dance team are back-to-back NCAA Division II National Champions in Spirit Rally as awarded by the National Dance Alliance in 2023 and 2024. Intercollegiate Athletics

The CSUDH Athletics Department sponsors 10 intercollegiate athletic teams that compete at the NCAA Division II level. The Toros are a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Widely considered the strongest Division II conference in the nation, the CCAA has earned 156 NCAA Division II National Championships, more than any other conference in the country. These include CSUDH track and field's 2011 NCAA Championship in the 4x400 relay and men's soccer's 2008 NCAA Championship, the program's second title in an eight-year stretch. The school fields teams in men’s and women’s basketball, softball, baseball, men’s golf, women’s outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and Dance. CSUDH offers students opportunities for involvement as both a student-athlete and as a fan. Athletic facilities include the gymnasium (the Torodome), a fitness center, training room, baseball and softball fields, a soccer stadium, tennis courts, track, and all-purpose field. International Student Services (ISS)

International Student Service (ISS) is located within the Multicultural Affairs (MCA) in room 110 of the Loker Student Union. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. International Student Services provides information, advising, advocacy and programming that will help international students integrate into the Dominguez Hills community while achieving their educational and personal goals. Currently enrolled international students are invited to visit us onsite in the MCA or call us at (310) 243-2519 to arrange a scheduled appointment.

International Student Orientation Programs

All newly admitted international students must attend a mandatory International Student Orientation Program. Students planning to attend the University in the fall 2013 should expect to receive an invitation to attend a summertime International Orientation program. Intramurals

The Intramurals program offers an opportunity for students to create their own team or join a team as a "free agent." This is your chance to compete with fellow students, faculty, and staff. The program offers tennis, ultimate Frisbee, softball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, and basketball to name a few. Loker Student Union (LSU)

More than a building, the Loker Student Union (LSU) is the heart and community center of CSU, Dominguez Hills. The LSU provides valuable co-curricular and extracurricular experiences, programs and services designed to help students get the most out of their time at CSUDH.

In the Union, students, alumni, faculty, staff and guests can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, grab a bite to eat, print a paper, meditate, take a nap, reserve a meeting room or space, host an event, enjoy social and quiet spaces, unwind in the game room, conduct a group study session, simply relax with friends, charge a mobile device, engage in student activities and more!  Currently enrolled students are also encouraged to develop leadership skills by becoming involved with the LSU Board of Directors or Activities Office. Special Events

Each year, the CSUDH community joins together to celebrate our unique traditions of Welcome Week, and Homecoming Special event committees gather together each academic year in a spirit of collegiality and a strong sense of community to enrich campus spirit and foster a deeper connection between students and the University. These programs complement the educational curriculum of CSUDH with a primary goal of enhancing the college experience in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff. Many of the programs and activities at CSUDH are student initiated. Musical, theatrical, fine art exhibits and presentations round out the special events spectrum. Student Organizations

Participation in activities where leadership, political, professional, honor, community responsibility, intellectual, religious, and social interests can be enriching and complimentary to your college education. Currently, more than 110 student organizations currently take advantage of benefits and privileges afforded only to registered student-run organizations. Such benefits include free use of campus facilities and resources and an opportunity to apply for ASI funding. Key privileges include on-campus member recruitment and fundraising. Joining a club/organization or checking out Greek Life at CSUDH can really be a step in the right direction for students looking for leadership development opportunities. Students actively involving themselves in student life add depth and breadth to their development as college students and as human beings. Veterans Resource Center (VRC)

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) assists military-connected students in successfully navigating their college experience. We provide personal and professional development opportunities to help students’ transition to CSUDH and beyond.

The VRC provides dedicated, individualized assistance to veterans, current military servicemembers and dependents, our services include but not limited to:

  • Assistance with applying for state and federal education benefits. Including CalVet College Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents, VA Education Benefits and DoD-Tuition Assistance
  • Academic advising
  • Tutoring
  • Career assessments
  • Social gathers
